Super Slalom, La Plagne Centre
The world's longest slalom race
La Plagne hosts the world's longest super slalom competition on a 4km course with 320 gates! A normal slalom course only has 70 gates to negotiate so you'll need to forewarn your thighs before you tackle this challenge!
With only 400 places available, this unique event fills up fast with a mixture of pro skiers and competent amateurs. The 4km course must be completed in 4-10 minutes and there are both junior and senior categories. Fancy dress is encouraged, a sense of fun is essential. There are big (wheels of Beaufort cheese) prizes up for grabs for the winners and, of course, everlasting glory!
There will also be live music, DJ sets and food outlets set up around Chalet de la Roche and La Plagne 2000 throughout the day.
